THE REVIEW

This book scared me at times... for the one simple reason.  Charles.  He scared me.

Lucy is trying to move on from her break up with Charles.  She's just moved into her own house, and has a successful career in Public Relations.  Her best friend Jade is weeks away from getting married, and she relishes in helping with the planning of the wedding.  I wish I had an eighth of this girl's fashion sense.

What she wants most is for Charles to start moving on with his life.  It becomes obvious that's not going to happen, and he will stop at nothing to get her back.  If that means taking out a prospective man in her life, so be it.  He's prepared to do it, and makes that known to her.  He even goes so far as to hire a private investigator to keep tabs on what she is doing.  His obsession combined with his drinking makes for a scary combination.

Because of this, Lucy is forced to make some changes in her life.

I really loved reading this book!  There was a strength in Lucy she didn't know she had.  She knew Charles getting bad, and tried to get away before things got really bad.  Too bad he had other ideas in mind.
